In my time in Costa Rica and in my former life in tourism, many excellent businesses stick out, here are a few and why I like them.
Travel Agents - Entire Country
Caravan Tours - www.caravan.com/tour/costa-rica The best company for group tours up to 30
CR Referrals - www.crreferrals.com/TravelExperts.html The best for custom itineraries and discounts, they also work to help animal rescues here
Horizontes - www.horizontes.com/eng/ Has reached the highest level of sustainability a company can here.
Tour Operators
Desafio - www.desafiocostarica.com/ Best all around outfitter in the Arenal area, also involved in animal welfare & community programs
Juan Brenes - www.juanbrenes.blogspot.com/ One of the best guides in Manuel Antonio area
SkyAdventures - www.skyadventures.travel/index/index.html - Best Canopy Tours in the Arenal and Monteverde area
Hope its not taken as SPAM, not how it is meant, these are just a few of the great companies available here and I recommend them often

Spirit Airlines is very helpful in getting to and from the region on the cheap. If there are other budget airlines that are operating here, please let us all know... Reply to this
