| Yoga classes in India - how hard are they to find? | |||||||||||||||||||||
TheWanderingChef Vagabond Kate Post Count: 8 Msg: #1 61 days ago, September 20th 2009 | I'm off to India on Wednesday, and cannot wait. I'm a yoga enthusiast hoping to keep it up while I'm there and hopefully improve, but I am travelling with another person that isn't interested in staying somewhere for 10 or 20 days while I do an intensive course. | Does anyone know how easy is it to find a yoga center or ashram that you can attend a class or two, paying or offering donations, but not have to stay in the ashram or enroll in a course? I'm interested in all types of yoga, but only have experience in the more western practiced types (hatha, vinyassa, asthanga, etc.). Any suggestions of specific centers or ashrams would be AMAZING! Thanks! Mell Mell Post Count: 13894 Msg: #2 61 days ago, September 21st 2009 | Hello Kate | Here are a couple of threads which may interest you. The other good place is Institute of Yogic Sciences and Naturopathy in Bangalore. I visit INYS every year for 10 days. It's a wonderful experience...
