Newbie87 Luke P Post Count: 6 Msg: #1 17 weeks ago, August 31st 2009 | I'm looking for the cheapest way to fly from Vancouver, Canada to Bangkok Thailand. Would it be cheaper to travel on a multi-city route or just straight to Bangkok with no stops. Or would it be cheaper to fly from a different city i.e. Seattle or to fly to a smaller city in Thailand. Any suggestions are appreciated and any website suggestions that i can look at would be great. Thanks. | Mell Mell Post Count: 15170 Msg: #2 17 weeks ago, August 31st 2009 | Hello Luke | I usually use an interent search engine to find the best flight prices. Sometimes it is cheapest to fly directly to the destination, and sometimes it is cheaper to have a layover on the way. But the search engine will calculate the layover for you. You dont have to search for the flight individually. Just search Vancover to Bangkok. Bangkok is usually/always the cheapest city in Thailand to fly into. The search engine I use to find and buy long haul flights is billigfluege Mel PA Leslie Pierre-Alexandre Post Count: 881 Msg: #3 17 weeks ago, September 1st 2009 | Hi, | There are no direct flights between Vancouver and Thailand, or between Seattle and Thailand. Seattle could be way cheaper because you have more competition in the US market. Easy way to check, use one of the main site....without naming it, expedia, travelocity, or any of those to give you an idea, than go direct to the airline web site. You will have to do a "technical" stop in Asia, you could make this a stop-over to visit....this could be in China, HK, Japan, Korea or Taiwan to name a few, even in Manilla. Currently, you have only Singapore Airlines flying direct from LAX to Singapore in South East Asia....everything below Hong Kong will need a stop. Thai used to have a direct flight from Bangkok to LAX, but this one is over with the crisis. Hope this help, Peter max37 Max Weber Post Count: 19 Msg: #4 17 weeks ago, September 2nd 2009 | Hi Newbie87, | Travelocity.ca is a good place to start searching for deals as well. You didn't mention when you want to go, but a quick search for December-January showed about 1600 CAD tax inclusive for Air Canada and Singapore Airlines. There are 1-3 stop overs though as Mell mentioned either in Tokyo, SF etc. I am not sure if you can get a cheap flight to Tokyo-narita, but just to let you know Thai Airways is running a promotion for Tokyo-Bangkok for 380 USD return. Hope this helps. Max Number of Users: 4 | Number of Posts: 4 | ||||||||||||
