Best Things to do in Boston?

hello all,
i'm making a trip up to Boston this coming September 5th-13th and i was wondering what wold you suggest i see or do. also trying to find out where some good restaurants are as well as bars and live music venues to catch a concert (whether they are small local acts or big national ones). and on the music topic id love to find a cd shop that sells music by local bands.

im already looking to get to a boston red sox game as they play my beloved baltimore orioles on tues/wed night. contemplating taking in a new england revolution soccer game on sat the 5th. otherwise im open for suggestions. any input would be awesome. thanks so much! Reply to this
