Hi all,

planning a RTW trip at the moment (starting in SE Asia) and so far we've got the below itinerary for an 11 week stay - any advice on whether this is not enough time for any particular segments, or anything we're missing out, or any general advice would be super-appreciated!!!

Bangkok/Kanchanaburi/Kwai/Lopburi ...................... 10 days
Chang Mai/Rai/Laos Border ..................................... 8 days
Mekong Slow Boat ................................................... 2 days
Luang Prabang/Vang Vieng/Vietienne ..................... 8 days
Southern Thailand/Islands ....................................... 14 days
Langakawi/Melaka/Kuala Lumpur ............................. 11 days
Hanoi/Halong Bay/Hoi An/Nha Trang/Ho Chi Min ...... 16 days
Phonm Phen/Siam Reap ........................................... 7 days

Leaving in November, so the aim is to be around the Southern Islands/Malaysia for Xmas and NYE

Thanks! Reply to this

Hello Matt and Cate 😊

My only advice to you is relax and enjoy, dont hurry and just have the itinery as a loose guide to be changed if something looks like a better idea along the way.

Well, one more piece of advice. I think South East Asia on a Shoestring by Lonely planet may be a good buy for you. It covers all the SE Asian countries in one book so is very convenient.
