I have to get from terminal 3 to terminal 1 in only 50 minutes. I called United Airlines and they told me that my baggage would be transfered and that i would not have to claim it, but will i have to clear american customs in san Francisco? because if so i will definitely not make my connecting flight to Puerto vallarta. I am a canadian citizen leaving from vancouver. i have heard rumours that i can clear american customs in vancouver before i even get to san fran, is this true? any information would be great!, im in a bit of a pickle!
thank! 😊

Reply to this Hi John - Yikes, that's cutting it close either way. There is a U.S Customs pre-clearance area in the Vancouver Airport, for what it's worth. I'm not very informed on what pre-clearence all entails, but maybe the
Preclearance Act Review can provide more answers. Looks like your flight may be treated like a domestic flight, so that would mean you wouldn't have to go through customs between flights.
