Yangon --> India by land

I have found a flight from Bangkok to Yangon for AU$50.. Can I then go by land into India??

I was thinking about flying into India but it might be cheaper to fly into Yangon and go by train. Does anyone have any advice?? Reply to this

I was looking on the seat 61 website and there is a train from Dhaka to Kolkutta so maybe I'll just have to get a connecting flight out of Myanmar. Reply to this

Hi Renee, if you dont want to travel to Bangladesh (Dhaka), you can fly straight from Yangon to Delhi or Kolkata and reach India. You will eventually have to fly out of Myanmmar as they do not permit people to cross international borders via roadways. Reply to this
