I am looking at travelling for 12 months starting next Jan. The plan is to travel India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Aus and New Zealand.
I would really like to do some volunteering in India or Thailand or both. Every company I have looked into so far have been charging crazy amounts, was wandering if anyone knows of any companies that charge very little/are free/except donatons etc.

Hi Charlotte, welcome to the forum!

This subject has been the subject of discussions before - this thread: Volunteer Community/Aid Work contained many great suggestions.

I agree with you about the high cost of volunteering, I think it is obscene how much some companies charge.
