Hello Nathan 😊

Many of us who travel a lot have found ways to save money. Living on very little is almost an art form which we have spent years perfecting so we will have money to travel.

surley you cant pay for your hostel,food/drink and go out on the weekend just from you wages in aus can you?

You are right. You wont be able to afford to do everything. It is a matter of picking and choosing. For example, how much money do you spend every weekend on going out? Even cutting going out down to every second weekend would be a start to saving for travelling.

Anyway, to point you towards travel, you could go for maybe a week, a month, a few months and then come back and continue working and your could do this whenever you can afford it. This is what I do at the moment. Or else you could buy a round the world plane ticket and go on a one year or more trip around the world. And there are plenty more options.

BTW 2000 is a good start to saving. You can right now afford around 3 months of backpacking around India or SE Asia for example.
