I have almost my trip worked out, i would like to go Oz, Fiji, New Zealand or Oz, New Zealand, Fiji that isnt the problem......my problem starts when i try to travel from either Fiji or New Zealand to Kuala Lumpur, i just cannot get flights from either Nadi or Queenstown, several sites give me the option but then i get re-directed to a sight and it says this travel is not possible.

The only option i have come across is travelling back to Oz from either Fiji or NZ, to Kuala Lumpur, i just feel as if i am back tracking if i have to this which is very fustrating.......even if i went from NZ / Fiji to Indonesia or Singapore, atleast then i am not backtracking to Oz after i hope to have spent 1 / 2 years there.

Can any offer any advice??

In situations like this I usually take the path of least resistance. I would save Fiji for another time.

Hi,

I know it's frustrating. Air Pacific is basically THE carrier for Fiji...and forget about flying direct to Asia, expect to Japan with them. By doing some homework, look at www.airpacific.com. You do have a flight Nadi-Port Villa in Vanuatu...and than there is a flight to Honiara in Salomon Islands. From there, you can fly to Port Morseby in PNG, and from there ti Indonesia or Singapore.

If you are a diver with cash and time, this is a dream route...would need a little homework. It won't be cheap...won't be fast...but could be very very cool.

Have fun, you are teasing me there!

Peter...and yes I dive, just check my blog!

How about trying New Zealand/Singapore/Kuala Lumpur - this route on Air New Zealand? If I remembered correctly, they still fly this particular route. Which ever it may be, I'm sure it'll all be part of the travel experience. So have plenty of fun! Reply to this

Hi Charles,

Yes but then you go back ward to NZ. Air New Zealand doesn't fly anymore to Singapore...they stopped few months ago, SQ still does.

Hi,

I have looked at all my options and i cannot get from either Fiji or NZ to Singapore, so i have to fly back in to Melbourne.
I am hoping i wont get in trouble for flying back in to Oz as long as i dont leave the airport, i will then fly to Singapore then to Kuala Lumpur.. xxx Reply to this

Thanks for the updates, Pierre-Alexandre. Maybe Ami can opt to fly SQ or either ways that would be less strenuous. So far any updates on yoru side Ami? Reply to this

I am just thinking i am able to fly back into Melbourne so i will do that. It wont be that long a flight from Fiji to Melbourne then i will book from Melbourne to Singapore as its the only way.

Because i hope to do a 360 Oz run end up back in Melbourne i will fly from Melbourne to Queenstown and go North to Auckland then across to Fiji then to Melbourne again then up to Singapore, its annoying but i do have my heart set on Fiji, im sure my funds will carry me across, i have just postponed my trip until January so i have time to save a little more cash.
