I am planning my travels abroad and I was wondering what is the best cash card to use when travelling to South East Asia and Ocenia?

I am based in the UK and have been told Nationwide cash card is good, can anyone recomend any others?

Thanks. Reply to this

In my experience Visa Electron is the most widely usable cash card just
about anywhere in the world. As a "back-up" I also have regular Visa. I can also
get cash with that one in certain banks. Reply to this

In recent years in many western and eastern European countries plus Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, China (incl Hongkong and Macau), Laos (it didn't work there, even in Vientiane), Egypt, Cuba.
If I remember correctly, only regular Visa worked in Cuba. Maybe some more, can't really remember when
I actually started using it.

You can get a current list of countries from your bank. Reply to this

Visa is widely accepted but its best to check with the tourist bureau of your destination to be completely sure. It's also wise to have some cash on hand and don't forget the exchange rate when you use your card! Reply to this
