While in OC I like to fish the Assawoman Bay. Notice that I said fish. Very rarely do I catch. But out in the bay is a very relaxing time. The bayside has very nice sunsets. Drop by one of the bars or restaurants for a beautiful dinner view of the sunset. Hey just go stand on a pier or the end of a road and watch it. After the sunset head down to boardwalk for some Thrasher's fries and finish off with some ice cream or a milkshake. Come on down to OC and have a great time. Reply to this

I think Ocean City is the best! When in Ocean City Maryland, I love to enjoy the beach, walk the boards, eat Thrasher's french fries, play putt putt golf, go to the Purple Moose Saloon, eat at Ember's, eat at Mug and Mallet, shop the outlets, visit Trimper's amuzements and so much more because there is so much to do!! Well, spending almost every summer in OC I never grew tired of it and look forward to going back every year! Now that I have a family I can enjoy more things! We love a ride on the Sea Rocket in the morning, hours on the beach and getting our scopes done. I have all boys so we love to crab and fish off bayside. We visit the boards every night and try to shop the outlets at least once. Some favorite places to stay are the Princess Royale on 90th, Francis Scott Ket Motel over the bridge on Route 50, Flamingo Motel 33rd Street, Park Place on the boardwalk and the Sahara Motel. Our favorite places to eat are Sneaky Pete's behind Hooper's Crab House on route 50, Paul Revere's on the boards, The Hobbitt 80th and bayside and Higgin's Crab House.
You really can't go wrong anytime you go to OC. You never know who you are going to meet or what you are going to see in the water or on land! LOL!
And tradition has it that we begin our trip with a visit the 1st morning to the Fractured Prune and end it with breakfast at the Dough Roller. Reply to this

I have been going to Ocean City basically every year in my 45 years here on earth! I moved to OC in 1984 because I could not get enough of OC. I back on the western shore again but I travel to OC as often as possible for reason too numerous to mention. First of all, you can not escape the peace and tranquilty you get when you sit on a beach chair and just watch the waves crash to shore with it's endless thunderous motion. Add to that the salty sea breezes and you have found a piece of paradise. If you have been going to OC since you were young, you can not help to relive that child like experience everytime you hit the town of Ocean City. No matter how stressful your life is, the stress starts to melt away as soon as you pass the tolls on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and continue to melt away as you cross each body of water when travelling to the beach. The climax of the trip is as you enter the Ocean City town limits and see all the lights amd smell all the scents both nature made and man made that remind you that you are finally in Ocean City MD.
What do I like?
Building sand castles (of course it's with my son)
jumping in the waves
surfing the waves
watching the sunset on the bay
fishing AND crabbing
Dumser's milkshakes
Fisher's Popcorn
Thrasher's Fries
Pizza slices on the boardwalk
the boardwalk
people watching
taking pictures
breakfast at Dumsers
Reading on the beach
good eating at great restaurants
and much much more

OC, MD is awsome. I have been going there for 20 years. There is just something theraputic about crossing that bridge and pulling into you hotel, and setting your first step on the boardwalk.

GO MAKE A MEMORY FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!! Reply to this

Hi, I am an OC Insider and just spent 4 days at OC last week. I too feel the exhilaration as I cross the Bay Bridge, and near OC on Rt 50. I put the car windows down and look for the Kites and banners being flown by airplanes as I ride across the bridge into OC. What a great feeling when you get to the beach- The stress is gone, time to relax, and enjoy. I stay at Majestic Hotel on 7th and Boardwalk, and pulling into the parking lot each summer is like coming home. We've stayed there for years, and enjoy the pool, and rocking chairs on the front porch. You would not believe how many people pass by at night and see us sitting there, and they are heard to say, 'what's the name of this place, ?, or, I love these chairs, and we should stay here next year". "People watching" is constant entertainment. It is a great place to sit out in the morning and look out over the beautiful ocean and relax over a cup of coffee. I think this is my favorite time of the day, and normally when you see the dolphins just offshore. Only one thing I would change- the Hotel is all non-smoking, which is great, but they still allow smoking on the porch and at the pool. This is very bothersome to those of us who wish NOT to smell the smoke. I think I will make a suggestion to the manager that smoking should be banned. Reply to this

Ocean City is the home of some of my favorite memories from childhood through adulthood. Whether it is riding bikes on the boards with my family, spending time on the beach during Senior Week, or eating at some of my favorite O.C. dining spots--my memories are almost universally positive. As an adult (with a kid of my own) I am making new family memories in this great town. We enjoy the beach first and foremost, followed closely by the boardwalk.

Hmmm,

Looks like someone is trying to drum up some business for Ocean City, MD or for their website. I find it unlikely that 9 seperate posters would join and post immediately about OC within one day. Reply to this

Ocean City is GREAT - it's our family's second home. A great destination any time of the year, we visit at least 6 times throughout the year.

We like:
--the clean FREE beach,
--riding our bikes on the boardwalk,
--attending Spring, Sun, and Winterfest,
--playing Super Trivia, Skee Ball, and Video Poker at Marty's Playland,
--eating a Boog's pit beef sandwich, or a Wrapper.

I could go on and on.

hi. Ocean City, Maryland is heaven on earth. So peaceful and beautiful. A place where I go with my family every year. My favorites things are the Christmas Spirit down on 34th and Coastal Highway we collect ornaments there. The many seafood buffets(Phillips is my fav), Brass balls on the boardwalk, a great book in hand on the beach, poolside at the Spinnaker Motel on 18th street is where you may find me or a stroll on the boardwalk for a cup of coffee or a cold lemonade. Great candy stores, great eats and amusements await you there. I wish you all a great time. Reply to this

Ocean City, Maryland is the one place I look forward to going at least once every year for the past thirty years. There is no other place like it when it comes to the wonderful combination of atmosphere, food, drinks, relaxation, and fun. All your options are there for families, students, retirees, any type of situation. Yes, it can get crowded during the peak season, but if you look hard enough, you will find the little places that make Ocean City special that the typical tourists ignore. Famous spots include Seacrets, Phillips, Paul Revere's, Jolly Rogers, the list goes on and on. Use maps.google.com to get different directions to there, insideoceancity.com for answers to questions, and ococean.com for webcams and more detailed information. Reply to this

Ocean City is our favorite place to travel during the summer. Both myself & my husband frequently traveled to OC with our families before we met & now we have made OC vacation a tradition of our own little family. We love to hit the beach, walk the boardwalk, travel into DE for some shopping. Now that we have a baby we love to take him to the park at 127th street ! Definatly a family tradtion we plan on passing down ! Reply to this
