Port 21: Friday 10th. March: Punta Arenas: Costa Rica: We did a river cruise - crocodiles, birdlife and iguanas of all colors, shapes and sizes. We then went on a train - a very old train that jolted and clanked its way along the track past old shacks and fields.Sail away lovely.
Port 22: Sunday 12th. March: Quito: Ecuador: We arrived late and had a tour into Manta to visit the Cancebi museum. Off to Montecristi to watch the making of the Panama hats. Climbed the steps to a very lovely cathedral before wandering through the markets and streets. This area has had a lot of damage due to earthquakes.
Port 23: Tuesday 14th. & Wednesday 15th. March: Lima (Calleo); Peru: Arriving in the afternoon we then had a bus tour to the Cathedral in Lima and a walk through the city before visiting a lovely home which has been in the family for over 100 years. Overnight in Calleo and then up early for the shuttle to a shopping centre and a taxi to the Zoo to see an archaeological dig and some ruins. Fantastic couple of hours spent there with our own private tour with another local family.
Costa Rica Punta Arenas
