Tahiti
Storm clouds: Arrived into Tahiti with massive storm clouds around us. We went on an island tour with a local driver to the interesting places - Temple, Botanic Gardens; grotto; Transit of Venus point and Bounty plaque point. A Folkloric group came on board to provide the entertainment - Ö'Tahiti E" good fun.
Port 25: Saturday 1st. April: Auckland: Arriving early morning with brilliant sunrise worthy of many a photo'. Met friend Colin and went to the Kelly Tarlton Aquarium - very interesting as I remember it from 1997. After lunch we met up with Noelene and Wayne - (whom we met on our 2013 Rhine and Danube cruise) - wandered off to a lovely cafe overlooking the harbour and had afternoon tea and a warm, noisy and friendly chat with them. All too soon it was time to say farewell and they were there to wave us goodbye.
Port 26: Sunday 2nd April: Bay of Islands: A day spent doing nothing much and didn't go ashore as we had both been here before and weather not so good.
Port 27: Wednesday 5th April: Sydney then to Perth: Coming through the Heads and into the harbour - on to Perth - arriving home after another amazing adventure with the 2 of us meeting up with old acquaintances and new people on what will be another trip to remember.
