We entered Paracas National Park just before sunset, so the most appropriate thing to do was to sit on top of the truck and have our tour leader drive over sand dunes to our destination of the middle of nowhere......
We pitched up our tents just before the night sky blew over. Our tents were literally between sand, sand mountains and more sand. No trees, houses, people or perros. Just us and a lot of sand. So we sat by the fire, stared at the stunning stars and shared ghost stories.
Then we woke at 5am to get back to civilisation and to visit the ' poor mans Galapagos island'. Here we were a metre away from sealions, penguins, pelicans and the most amount of bird crap I have ever seen.
After our boat journey we jumped on some dune buggies and let the sand take us away........ narley dude
