Autobus nam dneska z Casmy do Huarazu - nasej dalsej zastavky - isiel o 4.30, nas hostel bol nastastie blizko a celkom nam to ulahcilo ranne vstavanie. Nastastie sme to nejak zvladli a pred obedom dorazili do Huarazu, maleho mesta znameho hlavne kvoli skvelym podmienkam pre trekovanie a lezenie v blizkych horach- Bile Kordillery.

We had our bus from Casma do Huaraz - our next stop - arrived at 4.30, our hostel was fortunately close and it helped a lot. The day before we chose our tickets just behind the driver thinking how clever we r and how much leg room we get, but when the actual bus turned up we knew how wrong we r. It was the half size bus with no proper trunk, so our backpacks ended up on the roof alongside cages with chickens... nother "advantage" of our seats was that u could see the drivers in action and we have to say its better to sleep than watch. For them it was a lot of fun driving above and close to the edge of so called road - rather dirty road if anything. The road was still in making and u could see heaps of soil, heavy machinery, huge boulders everywhere. We managed somehow get through and before lunch we made it to Huaraz, smallish town famous for its great climbing and trekking spots - mainly in Cordilleras Blancas. We did not hesitate and decided to do Santa Cruz trek - 3-4 days trek, that is offered by all main trekking agencies here, but do it solo, independently. We hope we made a wise decision. In the eve we have a lot of packing to do and early night cos bus leaves at 6.30.
