Stanik nastastie cely cas nosil batoh a vodu, inak by som dopadla este horsie.
Our 1st morning in ecuadorian capital started really well - we were woken up by the sound of crazy cocks mixed with barking dogs who are everywhere.
Today it was our first full day in Ecuador. Originally we planed to go to the city center, but our land lord recommended to go to see Mitad del Mundo - monument of equator. Luckily we did find right bus then got on the second one and get of exactly where we wanted to be. It may sound trivial but local buses
have no exact schedules or stops and they can stop pretty much anywhere. Next to the driver there is some other guy 'shouter' who shouts out direction of the bus and you have to listen. Monumet looks like a tower with a metal globe on the top. There are some museums around and locals who want so sell you anything ice loolies, fruites, meat.... In the end it was a bit dissapointing and we did expct more.
After that we decided to go to Pululahua - ex-crater - one of the biggest in south america. My plan \Kacka\ was just to see it from above as everyday tourist, but Stan wanted to descent to the floor. He discovered a narrow steep path leading down. there is one thing you should know about first 2 to 3 days being in high altitude. Every guide will tell you to take it easy and rest. So, because you know him we did opposite. The path was really steep, stony, dusty and it took us 2 hoursv to get down. And there was still way back. We had to stop very often because of me and we were overtaken by local pensioners, but
what can you do. For the rest of the day I was written off, feeling sick, had a headache and I could feel all my muscles shaken. Fortunatelly Stan did carry a rucksack all day, otherwise I wouldn't survive - but in the end it was his idea.
