Well, this was actually the main reason why i ventured to central america and down to Colombia.... For those who dont wanna travel to Colombia because of stories they have heard, harden the fuck up hahaha because it is actually one of the most amazing countries in this world and is fulled with some gorgous people... anyway to start the story we begun the trek on a Monday morning and got picked up from a hostel in Santa Marta, we drove for a good two - three hours until we begun the trek both on the main roads and on gravel [View Full Entry]

Moi! Tanaan tanne paakaupunkiin saavuttaessa, ei sitten enaa tarvinnutkaan aurinkovoiteita levitella, kaupunki on n. 2650m meren pinnasta, joten varsinkin oisin on hieman kalsa. Mutta palataanpa alkuun.. Cartagena: mukava paikka, tykastyin kovasti hostelliini, varsinkin [View Full Entry]

I'm doing my best to keep up...There's sexy parties come out of every parkway, pathway, roofway and highway....Been running around Bogota like a headless salsa dancing chicken...you heard me. I've gotta run back...I'll leave you in Carols capable hands...not just a pretty weathergirl...she has a much better idea of the past weeks shenanigans...we'll talk soon. Love you... Thanks Ron you handsome devil. Oh...There he goes...off into the wild blue. Well, things were going swimmingly Wednesday last with plenty of sunshine and a fresh North-westerly breeze, and our young advenrturer [View Full Entry]

Well needless to say itīs been an adventures few weeks. San Jose was a lot different than I remember it from 8 years ago. A lot more cosmopolitan. Did some good shopping and some good wandering. But after a few days, started to get the beach urge again. Made my way to Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side. It is amazing just how different the Caribbean is from the Pacific, visually and culturally. Stayed at this cool but very crowded hostel called rocking Jīs. Itīs only tents and hammaks and they packed the people in. I think it has space for [View Full Entry]

Okay, so it looks like I ruffled some feathers with my last post. Through messages, (which I choose to not post....and encourage a flame war) I was accused of being ethnocentric, biased, unChristian and angry. So I will address those dissenters in this post. First off, throwing someone's faith back at them for voicing their opinion is not an effective argument. I am not 'less Christian' for judging immoral behavior. A tenant of the Christian faith is 'to put on armor' of faith. We are told that if we are 'lukewarm' God will spit us out. Paul writes in his epistles [View Full Entry]

I'm sorry I haven't updated this in nearly a month. So much goes on, that its hard to sit down and just organize my thoughts and write them into a coherent narrative. But let me try... As a school, we traveled out of the mountains and into the rainforest. It was a little worrisome at first, as we were traveling into paramilitary area. Not exactly FARC ground, but really close. We arrived at our location safely and had three days playing at a resort. Well, it called itself a resort....it was really the most amassed collection of insects and creepy-crawlies I've [View Full Entry]

Hi, I have arrived in carolina and it is so beautiful. Even better than I remember. There is no internet cafe here but the Cultural Centre has let me use the computers. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Now I am going to find an hotel now and probably stay a couple of nights. I have spoken to Jesus, the friend I used to know when I lived here, and I am going to see him on friday night. I am extremely happy and very excited about staying up here in the bush. Love to you all. Anne I hope you [View Full Entry]

It is as awesome as Josh looks.
Although I think it's fairly empty saber rattling from a head of state with some real domestic problems on his hands hoping to distract his masses I won't let it stop me from personally declaring war on both Venezuela and Ecuador. If you've ever played Risk with me you know that's something to be slightly inconvenienced by. You know how awesome snow days are? What's even better is a Violent Transportation Strike Day. When the snows roll in you hope, but I had no hope of a free day until at like 8 at night I got a phone call telling [View Full Entry]
