To Uyuni! Fumanchu style!
Well since heading back to La Paz, we jumped on a bus south, headed to Oruro, twas a three hour bus ride where Jord and I were constantly getting weird stares because we couldnt stop laughing to Eddy Murphy on my iPod, then "Standing Tall" came on and we gave a cheer to the Ennis brothers (stuntmen) who we found out were in the film.

Arrived in Oruro where we hit up Celebrity Chef Don Roberto, who invited us to his parents hotel in Cochabamba, and mayhaps on our way back to Santa Cruz we will stop by. As Jords blog noted he was really an amazing guy. If I could find a computer with windows XP I could post the pictures of our meal, this guy brought us the most delicious lamb Ive ever had and I had enough on my plate to feed a family of four. We ate it, and we ate it all! Wine, homemade sambuca (best sambuca I have ever had, not sure where the chef distilled it) but he was certainly the celebrity chef whose notoriety is well known. While we ate he entertained what we assumed was basically the equivalent of the party

Don Roberto, we love you!
from the beginning of True Lies in the next room, we were tempted to go buy suits and pretend we were ambassadors of Canada, but instead we got drunk and hit up the Karaoke bar. Highlights include Ryan singing "Imagine" by John Lennon (he really does have a gentil voice) and Jord and I rocking out to every Guns and Roses song in the book. Nothing felt better then finally getting my chance to do "Hello" by Lionel Richie, and yes, I do felt I did it justice. By the end our bartender was just getting hammered at the table with us and laughing at whatever we were trying to sing in our strange language.

Next day we hit up the hot springs, laughed at Ryan for being so hungover and jumped on a train that was not too bad, even though none of us really slept and we had to get off at 2:45 AM. Found a hotel in Uyuni, signed up for an adventure into the salt flats, plan to try and drive the jeep (hopefully) maybe catch some flamingos and llamas as well. Should be back Monday or so. Sorry about the lack of pictures, will do a big update next week.
