O pulnoci jsme meli budicek a uz o 1 jsme byli pripraveni na vystup.Celi nabaleni a vystrojeni- specialni obuti, termopradlo, 2 kalhoty, triko, fleecova bunda,na ni jeste jedna bunda, celovka, balaklava, helma, dvoje rukavice, 2 ponozky, macky horolozecke, cepin do ruky a konecne lezeckou jistici soupravu.

At midnight we had to wake up to be ready to set off by 1. All dressed and equipped - special boots, cramptons, ice axe, thermals, 2 trousers, fleece, 2 socks, waterproof jacket, headlamp, balaklava, head protection, 2 pair of gloves and finally harness. It seems a lot but it was just enough not to get frozen. Then 2 litres of water that got frozen anyway. It did snow from the start and didnt stop, even got worse and the wind was getting stronger. Kate,me and our guide started as the last ones /groups of 3or 4/ but gradually ended up being the first- we did a lot of trekking before and felt great. From the very beginning our guide was telling us that its not sure if we make it to thetop, cos of the weather and finally in 5750 metres he and other guides decided to return. Shame, but you cant fight the nature and taking risks here is not wise. The problem was descent rather than ascent... At 6 we were back at our camp, got into sleeping bags to grab a few more hours before descending to the base camp and heading to La Paz.
