The Bolivian big City. A very bustling and lively City, I enjoyed being here.
There are excursions on offer for today. One is to mountain bike down the worlds most dangerous road, at a descent of some 1,500 meters, and which lasts all day. The other excursion and the one I choose, is to do a tour of the City. We drive around all the sights by bus, and its an amazing bustling place. The tour lasts 3 hours, part of which we go to Moon Valley, so called as it looks like the surface of the moon!

In the afternoon I hit the shops with a friend, and spend hours walking around. An authentic football shirt costs around 12 pounds here, and they have teams all around the world, but sizes are hard to come by.

In the night we again meet up for a group meal in a cool restaurant called Mongoes, and have a good night, where the food is good, and there is a live Cuban band, with lots of locals dancing.

This was another good day, and was really surprised of how modern for this area that La Paz is. Its certainly more advanced in my opinion than the other big cities I've seen so far, like

As we drove to La Paz, we were greeted by this incredible view over the City, which is surrounded by snow capped mountains. La Paz is some 4,000 meters above Sea Level, the highest capital City in the world.
Lima, Arequipa and Cusco. There is still poverty here, they have two classes, wealthy or just poor, not really an in between. You get many people begging on the streets, or trying to sell tourists fossils or other things. I think its safer here though than the other places.

Today its Wednesday the 1st of Feb. Everyone in our group are once again in bed with hangovers, but I'm up early, not wanting to waste any time wherever I go. So I go for a stroll again through the City, going to the post office to send some souvenirs that take up backpack space back home, and just generally again walk around. Im wearing shorts and a t-shirt as I write this as it was hot this morning. The weather here is unpredictable, and outside this interent cafe now, its pouring with rain. This is common in this region, It'll soon clear up and be sunny again, its the rain season here during summer. I wanted to watch football herer, or somewhere. The national stadium is in the City, 45,000 capacity, and probably again the highest in the world! The local teams are Bolivar, and The Strongest, but unfortunately there are no midweek games.

Tonight we will go for a meal in another local restaurant, as its our last night here in La Paz.
