in Paradise... copacabana & isla de sol

There aren´t words to describe this lakes beauty. Its one of the highest lakes in the world and its as blue as the sky. I was never more happy to see water! Bolivia is one of the only two countries that are not surrounded by the ocean so seeing this lake was the greatest feeling!

Joeri and I instantly made friends when we arrived on the ferry. Laurent, Kersten, tristan (we met in sucre and randomly met again at the hostel in copacabana! such a small world), and leu´s friend from paris. We all slept in the same hostel room. we ended up renting a paddle boat and paddled off far away into the lake. we even went swimming... it was so god damn cold though. i have a good video of it. seriously though, ive never been so cold in water before. i could barely breath!!! ah it was so worth it though. we had such a great time. we ended up finding this great gringo hippy bar with live music. we met four guys from france and canada who were biking across south america on their bicycles!!! psh. freakin crazy if u ask me. but all the power to them!!!

now, joeri and i are in Isla de sol. its an extremely remote area. i am shocked that they have the internet here. There are no cars on the island. Donkey´s are their form of transportation. there are tons of pigs, llamas, apacas, & donkeys. its really another world here. I love it though. our hostel room as water view. Isla de sol is where the sun was apparently born. Ill be sad to leave because it is just breathtaking here but ill be happy to be in sucre again.

i think the plan is to stay in sucre till the holidays and new years even. And then possibly move to Cuzco, Peru. The talk is that if there is anything going to happen in bolivia it will be after the holidays. the school in sucre is also in cuzco so i will not have to pay extra. what do u all think?
