So this is my last day in Argentina! I fly to BsAs and connect to a flight to Lima at 3:00. Crazy huh?

Its been a fun week with Katie in Mendoza. Our trip started with an AMAZING bus ride! It was exactly 12 hours long and I slept like a rock most of the way. I swear, the buses here are better than a first class plane!. Tons of leg room (especially at the front, which by now Katie and I know is the best spot) and the food isn't bad either. We got wine with our HOT dinner and champagne for a dessert!

We did EXACTLY what we planned on doing here... NOTHING. We spent the first day laying in the hammocks by the pool at our amazing hostel and met some cool people (from england, australia, south africa, and Norway). The next day we went on a wine tour. Mendoza is famous for its wine (especially its Malbec variety... so if youre into wine go find some!) we biked throughout the countryside to 3 vineyards and an olive farm. It was beautiful! Mendoza is actually a desert, but thanks to irregation from the Mendoza river they

can grow grapes and wonderful olives too! We tried all kinds of wine, learned how it (and olive oil) are made, and enjoyed one of the 320 days on sun that Mendoza boasts. We ended up spending the night after our wine-tasting in the hammocks at our hostel... We thought we were going to switch hostels but decided last minute to stay. They were booked but said we were welcome to sleep in the hammocks. It was a beautiful night and Katie and I slept great! We switched hostels the next day... only to come back begging them to take us back after one night in that god awful other hostel. We got a room with AC!! Woo! We spent the other days lounging around the hostel. We did leave one day... we took a bus to a teeny tiny town in the mountains/desert. There was WATER PARK! It had thermal pools and a wave pool and a river to float... practically Schlitterbahn. Buuut in a desert surrounded by mountains. It was super surreal... it was a true oasis. It was great. We didn't even burn! Go us! I didn't have my camera but check out the web-site to get the picture: Parque de Agua

So next time I'll be posting from Peru...
