Sailing Pic 14

We were the Gate Boat. We set out these two markers which represent the gate. When the boats are sailing downwind they can go around either one of these gates. Our job was to set these gates out so their is no advantage for the sailors to go around either gate. The purpose of the two gates is to avoid congestion when the boats are rounding these down wind markers. I know it's all a little confusing for those not familiar with sailing.
