CANYONLANDS: Dead Horse Point Overlook / Mirador "Caballo Muerto"
According to the legend, local cowboys rounded up wild mustangs and brought them here, fencing off the narrow neck (only 30 yards across) with branches. After choosing the best horses, they left the others corralled here where they died of thirst, being able to see but not reach the Colorado River 2,000 feet below ********* Según la leyenda, vaqueros locales acorralaban caballos salvajes y los traían aquí, vallando el estrecho cuello (de sólo 30 metros de ancho) con ramas. Después de escoger los mejores caballos, dejaban al resto encerrados aquí, donde morían de sed, pudiendo ver pero no alcanzar el río Colorado 600 metros más abajo
