What a fantastic picture!! We did the Salt Flats with Estrella del Sur too but it was in June, so it wasnt under water. I imagine it is a completely different experience at different seasons of the year.

A snowy honeymoon has always been my ultimate wedding fantasy. I hope I will in fact be able to get married at all. Paperwork for foreigners in Germany getting married is complicated. Great photos! I thought I was the only one who fancies getting married in a snowy place. :)

Agradecido
Abrazos, Helard

Certains facts are true
I like a lot your blog, sadly as you said, there are things that are actually true, I'm a teacher, I teach languages but a montyh or so ago I work in an agency which is in the left side of the main square. I know there are many problems in my dear Arequipa. e.g. those waiters who annoy every tourist I see them every day because they work in the same block as me. It's very frustrating because many people knows it's wrong but they need a way to earn money, it's not their fault they just follow orders from their bosses (who many times result to be greedy and don't care about the tourist confort). It's very sad indeed. About the taxis there are obviously too many, as I said, people need to work somehow and Peru is a developing country and there are many poor people. Maybe the taxi drivers cannot do something else which is very sad as well. Abourt the level of English many people have (counters, guides, restautrant owners, etc.) is low sometimes but there are those who speak very well. Arequipa is a peaceful and tranquil city, as you said there's nothing to worry about if you go by safe places. What I don't like about your blog is that you kind of make fun of that typical dish called "cuy chactado" (roasted guinea pig). I don't like it either, but I have a deep respect about traditions, I never eat that dish besides there are many "odd" dishes all over the world and if you don't like something you should only say "no, thanks". About my dear city which is gorgeous, it's a nice place to visit although there are some people who doesn't care about the environment and visitors, most of them are immigrants from other cities, they don't feel the respect and care as we do. After all you should ask yourselves if this trip you were in was nice or not. Finally I love your photographs of everything you did here. We are trying to offer a better service plus a confortrable stay for you the tourist. Thank you very much for coming. P.s. Send me a response to my email or add another comment so I know you read this. Miguel Córdova
