We have just returned from a long day out. Rusks and hot drinks were at 5.30 am so we could leave before 6.00 to be at the park by 7.00 when the animals are active. The children had no problem getting up early, and during the day we saw as much of the park as we had in several days before, with the help of a brilliant guide, Trust, who trains other guides. We are a team of eight pupils and two staff from a famous Berkshire prep school, embarking on an adventure far from home as we visit our partner school The Grace in the South African town of Siyabuswa. Our school has been supporting The Grace for nine years and has sent out a team every alternate year since 2007. We now have twelve children being sponsored there, and we are raising money to build them an Early Years Centre--team members are doing all they can get sponsored themselves, as well as organising events at school like a charity hockey tournament and a talent show, with more to follow... full info
