Nicaragua, our fifth country to be visited in CA, required quite the maneuvering from Roatan, but it was well worth it! By sea and land, we would have taken a 1 hour water taxi from Roatan to the mainland and then a 15 hour (mas o menos) bus ride, and on top of that, adding time to go through three countries’ customs.
