New Furniture Clay and Ann,
Your new furniture is absolutely stunning!!! It is so, so beautiful! It is like a work of art! Your new friends did a wonderful job. What craftsmanship! You couldn't even find that type of work in the U.S. You need to bring that back with you!
It was so great to hear from you, and to read another blog. I have missed them! I love, love, love the windows in the room with all the furniture. I loved leaded and stained glass. Would have a house full of it, if I could.
Hope you are doing well, and feeling healthy. It looks like you are settling in, and making a home!!! Do you still need school supplies? If so, let me know what you need. I really enjoy hearing from you, and learning what is going on in your lives. Keep doing the blogs! I really enjoy them. I love and miss you both! Aunt Pat
pictures and market place love all the pictures, and the previous videos. Really enjoyed watching the guy making your furniture. Loved the market pictures. I could get in trouble here with all the beautiful blue and white items. Loved the blue and white dishes in your previous blog. I find it fascinating that we are the number one country in the world, and with all our knowledge and power, we cannot have fresh, good, healthy, and organic food inexpensively like you can have over there! So much for us being progressive!!!!! :)
Beautiful, Ann! Hi Guys,
I am playing catch up again with your blogs. I must say that I am so proud of you both. You two are doing such a great job. I do so love all your pictures and commentary. Ann, you look so beautiful in those caftans, especially the blue one. Regarding learning the language via soap operas, I have to tell you a funny story. When I was teaching Esl with the Clay County literacy coalition, I have a wonderful woman named Magdalena from Ecuador. She told me when she first came to this country, she learned a little English from watching soap operas. At one point she decided to teach me and another volunteer Spanish. I was not as good a student as she. I tried watching the soap operas in Spanish like she suggested. I couldn't keep up. By the time, I understood one word, they were two sentences ahead! lol Keep up the good work you two!!! Thanks for the cat picture. I am truly sad about the animal population control, but I do understand. :(
It has been awhile.... It has been awhile since I have "tuned in" it looks like you "kids" are having a real time. I say kids because the spirit of your trip shines through your blog as from the eyes of two kids. I am so pleased you guys are having a great time and not only seeing the world but living in our world. You managed to pick up the language ----great stuff. I am curious when I read some of the entries, how the world economies are doing and would love to be able to gauge the venues, hotels and dining with the price. Hope all is well here in the states with family and friends etc. if you need anything let me know.
Best Regards
Patrick Barger
Clay and Ann I'm so jealous. That is something I have always wanted to do and hope to accomplish before the end of days. All looks amazing as well as what you are doing-amazing as well!
Take care and be safe!
RE: WOW! So good to hear from you two again, with photos! My admiration (and amazement) for what you are doing is huge!! How? How? How? I look around and feel like the biggest ingrate/ungrateful alive. We are so spoiled. I knew it but, brother, do you drive it home!! Lots of love, Sharon
