Day 59 (Thursday 18/06/09, NJJ) 6.30am bus pulled in to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. Neither of us had slept well and we were shattered. Got the tram to the Exford Hotel backpackers. Arrived around 7am and were allowed to have some free breakfast. We checked but our room wasn't ready (not surprising) so we were allowed to relax on the settee in the chill room.
