Our first weekend trip was to the Mayan ruins at El Zotz which means the bats. We drove in over rough 4x4 road and camped overnight. In the evening we went to the edge of the cliffs to watch as thousands of bats streamed out of the caves above to go on thier feeding runs over the jungle. They blackened the sky and rained down guano on us. ... read more
