Waiting for the bats

Waiting by the cliff edge for the bats to emerge. Yes that brown stuff on the ground is bat shit. Ethan was the only one with a hat, smart guy!

Our first weekend trip was to the Mayan ruins at El Zotz which means the bats. We drove in over rough 4x4 road and camped overnight. In the evening we went to the edge of the cliffs to watch as thousands of bats streamed out of the caves above to go on thier feeding runs over the jungle.
