DIck on the Rocks

South Plaza Island was almost completely covered with black lava rocks and white granite rocks of various sizes. Up on the hill above the shoreline, many iguanas sunned themselves among the rocks and dined on the thick prickly pear cactus leaves and blossoms.

Next stop on our cruise down the west coast of South America was Ecuador, which lies south of the Panama Canal from Guatemala. Dick and I are learning a lot about geography on this trip.
