A Fine Summer Evening!

We arrived in Mære just in time for rømmegrøt (what we called "mush" when we were kids!) at Rakel and Per Helge's house next door. What a treat! Per Helge is out second cousin as well. Here are Sigrun (on the left) and Rakel as we sit out on the back patio and enjoy the fantastic summer weather. A really nice to time to sit and chat.
Traveling Northward

On Friday afternoon I hopped on the train to Trondheim -- just a 6.5 hour train ride and with wonderful views to boot! And while most everything in Norway is very expensive, my early purchase train ticket only cost 199 crowns (about $35). Pretty amazing!
