Mære

This was my 3rd visit to the area north of Trondheim where my Grandfather came from, Skatval, as well as points further north. Sigrun (my second cousin) and Asbjørn's house is in the distance. You can see how beautiful the landscape is. The praires of North Dakota must have been quite the shock for the immigrants!
Traveling Northward

On Friday afternoon I hopped on the train to Trondheim -- just a 6.5 hour train ride and with wonderful views to boot! And while most everything in Norway is very expensive, my early purchase train ticket only cost 199 crowns (about $35). Pretty amazing!
