Under the Wall Tour

When King Herod built the second temple he built it upon the back of a city that was already there. Ninety feet below the current street level is the original city level destroyed by Herod. He built arches (this is one) to level the city above so he could construct the Second Temple upon the bones of the First Temple. This is one of those arches.
