This was taken at the Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius. Each turtle is dedicated to those who received a doctorate from studying at the temple by 1442.

I boarded the night train with much anticipation of the 12 hours ahead. I had bought a hard bed ticket, but didn't get the requested bottom bunk in order to guard my bag more closely.
