Esta mañana me he puesto al dia con el internet, he montado todo en la bici y he ido al pueblo maori a investigar un tema pendiente (lo publico en el blog enseguida). El pueblo esta en la orilla del lago, en la zona donde hay mas fuentes termales. El suelo esta calentito, eso es bueno, pero la contrapartida es que de un dia para otro te sale una fuente termal debajo de la casa o en medio de la carretera. De ahi pista hacia Tirau, con una pequeña parada para comer. El camino ha ido subiendo un buen rato por colinas volcanicas y el ultimo tramo para abajo hacia los llanuras de Hobbitlandia. Tirau es conocido por tener estatuas de chapa corrugada por todas partes. Cada pueblo aqui se busca su seña de identidad. De ahi eran 20 km mas hasta Matamata, planos y al lado del ferrocarril. Aqui he llegado al Tourist Info, a informarme sobre el tour a Hobbiton. Todo lo relacionado con el Hobbiton este es carisimo, los souvenirs incluso. El tour para ver los exteriores cuesta 75NZD, y no se puede entrar a los edificios porque estan vacios, los interiores estan rodados en estudio. Por tanto paso de Hobbiton. Hay un hostal en la ciudad, pero tambien es carisimo, 50NZD. Asi que me voy al camping local, esta a 6 km de Matamata. Por el camino he pasado cerca de unos enormes castaños, y he pillado castañas del borde de la carretera. El camping bastante bien, solo 17NZD, no tiene internet pero tiene unas piscinas termales que los campistas pueden usar, asi que alli he estado a remojo. Mientras hacia la cena he estado charlando con una mujer que trabaja en una granja de pollos aqui cerca, tienen varios miles de gallinas tienen y nosecuantos gallos, producen pollitos para otras granjas, y los huevos demasiado grandes o pequeños o de yema doble los tienen que descartar. Por tanto nos ha traido un monton de huevos gigantes, de doble yema, gratis. Asi que el final el dia esta yendo muy bien, baño termal, castañas asadas en la cena, y huevos frescos para cenar y mañana para desayunar.

This morning I was up to date with the internet , I mounted everything on the bike and I went to the Maori people to investigate a pending issue ( I publish on the blog soon ) . The maori town is on the shore of the lake in the area where there are more hot springs. The soil is warm, that's good, but the downside is that from one day to another you may have a hot spring under the house or in the middle of the road. From there I went towards Tirau, I did a small lunch stop . The road has been uphill for a while on some volcanic hills and the last stretch down to the plains Hobbitland . Tirau is known to have corrugated iron statues everywhere. Each village here finds its hallmark. Hence still 20 km more to Matamata, flat and adjacent to the railroad. Here I have come to the Tourist Info to find out about the Hobbiton tour . Everything related with Hobbiton is very expensive, even souvenirs. The tour to see it costs 75NZD, and you can not enter buildings because they are empty, the interiors were shot in studio. So I skip Hobbiton . There is a hostel in the city, but it is also very expensive, 50NZD. So I go to the local campground, is 6 km away of Matamata. Along the way I 've seen a big chestnut tree along the road and I got some for the dinner. The campsite pretty well, just 17NZD no internet but it has a thermal pools that campers can use, so I've been soaking there. While making dinner I've been chatting with a woman working at a chicken farm near here, they have several thousand chickens have and lots of roosters, they produce chicks for other farms, so eggs that aretoo big or small, or double yolk, have to be discarded. Therefore she has brought us a lot of giants free eggs, double yolk . So the day is going very well, thermal bath, roasted chestnuts at dinner, and fresh eggs for dinner and morning for breakfast .
