Winter. Briefly.

I know, i know, it's been a while. But winter is so full on here! I will try and briefly summarize what I've been up to.
Winter started out busy with school holidays kicking in full gear. From 7:30am to 7:30pm work was flooded with people wanting to rent ski gear, needing goggles, buying jackets, pants, etc. It was nuts! But we all made it through and the little kiddies and families left leaving Wanaka nice and quiet once again. Too bad we have to go through it again in September.
The skiing at Treble Cone is amazing. I get up 2-4 times per week. The terrain is unbelieveable-- natural half pipes, cliffs, chutes, no trees (well, that's one not good thing), lots of hikes, etc. www.treblecone.co.nz I will work on getting some good pictures of TC as well. And maybe one with me in it. 😊
Winter is full of events- have been going to ski movie premiers, parties, comps, etc. The snow has been great and the weather has been really mild. Although we did get snow in town the other week! We went to Dunedin about a month ago for a concert, also saw Stanton Warriors and Kora in Wanaka who were both amazing.
A few weeks ago we had a work party with the theme of White Trash. It was so hilarious! Starting out with 40s of beer, Shaker cutting the meat with a chainsaw, ridiculous costumes....An epic night! Great to have everyone together enjoying themselves away from work.
Now it's spring-- it's getting warmer, but snow is still falling (a little, which is better than nothing!).
Really besides skiing, work, and hanging out with everyone, there's not too much going on! This is my birthday weekend so I'm going to rest up for some fun!!
I will keep everyone informed on my plans for the next couple months but it's looking like Australia!

Hi!
Australia? Samantha is wondering when she is going to meet her hip, world-traveling cousin. She's hoping to get some ideas of her own and break out of the daycare scene.
