We have been told this is the best way to take in the coastal beauty and sea life of the Abel Tasman. After our induction on the beach we load our kayaks on an Aqua Taxi and head north for Onetahuti Beach. We are paddling in tandem kayaks with Kirsten in the front and me in the back. We arrived into Nelson and just chilled out it was a cool town real quiet but a cool place to be. The real fun started when we went to Abel Tasman National Park. We had been told it was one of the most beautiful places in NZ so went for the two day trekking and kayaking trip. We arrived in Kaiteriteri EARLY in the morning and met our kayak guide Harold, a mental Maori guy with the biggest fro. We caught an aqua taxi through part of the park and were dropped of on a small beach where our trek began. We walked through native bush and over mountains which gave us some of the best views.
