Well like I said yesterday. Today we were at 90 mile beach. We got up at 7:30 so we didn't have to pay for the camping spot. Nobody was there lastnight and again this AM when we left so o well. We went for a drive again down the beach. This time we made it about 60 km before we had to turn around. We stopped for breakfast and took some pictures. We also had to check our pants because when we were rippin down the beach at 140 km we hit some water and did a full 360 that look about 200-300 meters. Good thing it was just sand and nobody on the beach. hahaha. We were hoping to make it all the way up to Cape Reinga on the beach but the tide was coming in and there was some rocks that we couldn't make it over in the car. After we ate we headed back to town to get gas and wash the car off. We stopped at a museum where they had ancient Kauri trees that were 45 000+ years old. They had found them burried just down the road and had made them into some really nice furniture. A little to nice to buy for any of you guys. One bed that looked like a normal bed cost $12000. Not sure if you got the mattress either. After getting gas we headig up to The very top of New Zealand. The map said it was a gravel road (metal road if your a Kiwi) and thats why we were trying to take the beach. It happens that the road was paved and not to bad. Only the last 20 km was gravel and they were working on it so mayby next year it will be done. When we got there we could see a huge storm blowing in and were lucky because just as we got into the car again it started to rain. Back on the road again but this time heading south on the twin coast highway. Tonight we are staying in Whangaroa at a backpackers. The guy offerd us rooms for free if we want to do some painting tomorrow so we might be staying here for a few days. At $25 a night its only 2 hours work for free rooms. I am thinking we will put in a half day and

stay for 2 nights. I may not write anything tomorrow but I will have some pictures forsure. Its about $30 to rent a kayak for the day so possibly monday we will take a trip along the ocean.
