We stayed in Whangaroa (fun-ga-row-ah) for 2 days. The guy at the backpackers needed some work done so for 2 hours work we got 2 nights stay and a full day on the kayaks. We worked the one day and then soaked in the hot tub. The next day we went out in the kayaks around the harbour and out to where it opened into the ocean. We fought the wind the whole way out and were looking forward to coming back but as we turned around the wind died. We ended up having to paddle all the way back in. We figured it was about a 7km round trip. It was nice being out there but a little to wavey to take any good pictures. I have one but can't post it right now.
