When is it time to retire from competitive ice hockey and dedicate oneself to granny sports like lawn bowls?
Not yet.
At the age of 35, I will be the most elderly Ice Fern by about 10 years, but no worries....
it is an honour to represent New Zealand at any age.
Today, the Ice Fernz depart New Zealand for Sweden, where we'll be doing a 10 day pre-Worlds training camp.
Thanks to my friend Zoe, the only thing I know how to say in Swedish is "Can I have a hug?"
Surely this is all one needs to know to have a fun-filled sporting holiday filled with lots of hugs!
