Auckland day 1-2

this is a wuick note today, i hope to have a bit more time tomorrow. I arrive safe and sound in Auckland yesterday, was picked up by Laura ( roommate of Trish's, who is friends with my friend Heather from Canada...etc) , had a lovely dinner and a bit of a tour or north Auckland. Took the bus down to Auckland city this morning, checked into my YHA, went on the city explorer bus trip, saw Auckland from the top of Mt. Eden (one of 40 volcanoes around Auckland) strolled around the Harbor and had dinner with Bob and Pam (friends of friends of my parents) at Mission Bay in the now restaurant, former mission house. am off to the Bay of Islands tomorrow.
