Byron Bay is fantastic! It has beautiful beaches and a hippie vibe. Byron Bay was the perfect place to spend some time relaxing and bronzing on the beach. We spent our first day walking around all of the shops and checking out the hand made crafts and jewerly. We caught the sunset on the beach and listened to the drum circles and digiridoos buzzing nearby. The sky was spectacular with a mix of storm clouds and sun light gaps. The beach and water were fantastic. The sand was so fine it made funny scrunchy noises when your feet scuffed across the top, kinda like snow. It seriously was like powdered sugar...just don't eat it. : )

The next day we hiked up to Byron Bay's lighthouse and stood at the most eastern point of Australia. We saw a pod of dolphins swimming below. It was great, but a little to hot for hiking, so we headed for the beach. The rest of the day we spent soaking up the sun and swimming. Ahhhh.
