Our Plane
747 Mega Top. I didn't get to sleep until 3.30ish. Argh! Alarm at 5am. Got up, had a cup of tea and then shower. Checked out and caught the Hoppa Bus at 6.03. Bus picked up at two other hotels and then to the airport. Arrived 6.30ish and went straight to the check in desk, only to be waiting until 7am. We were fifth in the queue. We checked in. Good nights, the massive “balls-up” wasn’t as massive as I thought. We were sitting together from London to Singapore, but Singapore to Perth we were in totally different areas. We managed to get Richie on the left of the plane from Singapore to Perth so he could see the vast redness of Australia. Everything turned out well in the end. Looked around the duty free section and I decided to join the iPod community and I bought one. It is a 30GB with 7500 songs and it also has video and photo storage as well. Yay. Now I need to download the music. I got some UK gifts for family. We both had a Panini and tea for brekky. Went to the gate and waited to be called. As we got to our chairs
Me On The Plane
Bad Photo I Know. on the plane, there was an elderly lady sitting next to us. I said to her we are her annoyance for the next 18 hours. We then realised we’d sat next to this lady in the airport before boarding. Scary!! The flight took off on time and head out over Reading, turned and headed east. The entertainment system has 60 movies. There were 20 comedy, 10 TV Hits, 8 Technology, 10 Music/Fashion, 7 Documentary, 4 Sports, 6 Kids, 8 International, 8 Learning, 18 Travel, 2 Arts and 5 News Bulletin TV shows. It also has 225 CD Albums, 12 Radio Stations, 91 Computer Games and the Flight Map. You will be hard pressed to get bored on the flight. Received the menu and had a gin and tonic. We toasted the flight and Australia. Dinner came around. I had Timbale of Roasted Red Pepper with Rocket; Chicken with Lemon and Rosemary, Carrots, Snap Peas and Potato Puree; Cheese and Crackers; Bread Roll with butter. But the best bit was the Smarties Ice Cream for dessert. Watched Wallace and Gromit - Curse Of The Were-Rabbit. Had a bit of a sleep then played the quiz with Richie. I won the points side but Richie had a greater percent correct so we decided to call it a draw. Checked the flight map every so often. At one point we had a 100 km/h tail wind and we were travelling over 1000 km/h. (Does that mean we travelled at mach one?) Started to watch Charlie and The Chocolate Factory but fell a sleep during that! Didn’t get to see the end. Watched Madagascar and managed to see most of that. Also watched Less Than Perfect and The Simpson’s. Had brekky before landing of Fruit (Pink Grapefruit, Orange and Honey Dew Melon; Plain Omelette with Beans; Mushrooms; Hash Browns; Chicken Sausage; Bread Roll and Butter; Orange Juice and Tea.
