After the obligatory pack-up this morning we took one last opportunity for

a swim at Flinders Bay and then moved into town for a few incidentals. The

local bakery came through with flying colours for lunch and I had one of

the best pepper steak pies I've ever eaten.

We had intended to push through to Bunbury but we had heard good things

about a little caravan park just out of Margaret River. Big Valley Caravan

Park is owned and run by some local farmers on their property which is

predominantly sheep grazing (a few thousand).

The gentleman we spoke to was super friendly and he showed us through to

our site. Fresh country air, powered sites, showers, toilets and a camp

kitchen for $26 per night....can't complain.

After settling in we took our chances cycling out on an open road toward 10

Mile Brook Dam (nothing like peddling along with road trains passing by

with no cycle path to get the adrenaline flowing). The Dam was set among

some terrific local forest and we had a scenic route going by local

vineyards. Good times.
