It was a beautiful drive from Launceston to Hobart in the Land Rover, it really does remind me a lot of Scotland. I love being able to pull up on the side of the road and get a proper meat pie... gosh the things you miss!

Seeing the boats coming in at the end of the Sydney to Hobart race was thrilling, their joy and exhaustion written all over their faces on arrival followed by celebrations, it's definitely not a race for the faint hearted. We spent a few days in Hobart and joined in some of their celebrations which was fun, the harbour front in particular I did enjoy and the markets were good fun, all the food and drinks available were mouth watering after living in Asia for so long.

We travelled back up the north east coat which was stunning to get back in time for New year celebrations, who knows where I will end up next year!
