Sat 10th June- 14th June 2006= THE WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS.........................
Sat 10th June
Arrived early this morning into Airlie Beach. Stayed at this gorgeous house on the coast over looking the sea courtesy of a friend of Vix uncle who rented the floor space out to us for $15 each a night! Was a laugh- the house was great- very creative- Aunty Grazyna you would have loved it and Claire, kat, Hugh and Hannah........... There was a tee pee in garden too. We slept on the shag pile carpet!!!!! Went to the market a little dazzed and tired and then booked our 3days/ 2 nights whitsunday island yacht tour!!!! $400 (200 pound ish).............
Sun 11th June
The weather was miserable. The boat "Raggamuffin II'' slept 14 people- perfect- advised sometimes boats have 30-40 cramped on but our was just right. The morning was spent wearing yellow rain jackets! In the afternoon we snorkeled!!! Saw some lovely fish- and a sting ray!!! Had to wear stinger suits.......... was very cold when out of the water. When back on boat ''happy hour'' started- and dinner was served x
Sat 12th June
Again the weather wasnt good but we were dropped off
at Whitehaven island to go to the viewpoint where there was fabulous views of the beach. We chilled out on the rather cold beach for a few hours entertaining ourselves with the flip flop game and burying the lads!!! The boys snorkeled again.......... too cold for us girls!!!!! We managed to do a bit of sailing that afternoon which was great fun- the boat tips fully on its side!!!! The weather was perfect in the afternoon and the sunset beautiful. In the evening we had a BBQ which was amazing!!!!!! Chatted to the captain- who actually owns the boat- he was lovely! Looked after us and was worth every penny!!!!
Tues 13th June
Got a dingy to a resort called South Moele to use the spa- but was not what I expected- no sauna/ steam!!! And the hot tub was freezing- got in anyway but made a sharp exit!!!!! So just watched a movie then got picked up and had yet another amazing lunch on the boat then headed back to Airlie Beach.
Went out that night with everyone off the boat x

rebecca this part of your trip seems amazing what a lucky girl you are to have seen and done so much,fantastic photos cann,t wait to see them all, will have to have a month off work to see them all.love you loads.xxxxx
