My last trip as cabin crew was a favourite of mine!!!! We had very little time but still managed to see some amazing things! We went on a tour to Cape Point (the most Southernly part of Sout Africa) and on the way we went on a little boat ride to a little island called Seal Island. The rock island is covered in hundreds of Seals!!!! It was amazing to see!! On the way to Cape Point we passed through very wealthy areas of Cape Town with stunning views and houses! Its winter in Africa but the weather was perfect! We also went through a town called Llandudno where Elton, Madonna and Simon Le Bon own houses, though it was funny as my Mum was born near there but the Welsh Llandudno!!!! Not so exotic although ... read more

For this trip we are away 5 days an we get 2 days in Singapore and 2 days in Sri Lanka! Ive done this trip before but the crew didnt want to do anything but this time I was determined to go to see the Elephants in Sri Lanka!!! And as you can see from the pics I suceeded!!! The tour was amazing- we saw the elephants from the orphanage walking through the town to the river for their wash time, we then went to the elephant park and rode one and then bathed them! Then a trip to a Spice place with a free massage hoping we would buy something but we didnt. The the TEA FACTORY!!!!! Wow thought I was in heaven!!! I love tea!!! We then drove to a toen called Kandy to ... read more

Hi all, I swapped onto this flight. Its not a very popular one and after doing it I cant really see why- yes it is busy and hard as most travelling dont speak English but all the passengers are lovely x I was unsure as what there was to see/do in Dhaka as most crew tell you that its the best places to buy copied dvds but I was looking for a bit more than that!!!! I had heard of an orphanage you could visit and had come armed with crayons, pencils and drawing books hoping that some of the crew would join me. I enquired at the reception, who organised me a taxi and also got 3 other crew to join me!!!!! The journey was amazing to see- the roads were muddy dirt tracks with ... read more

Hong Kong!!!!!!!

Published: March 28th 2008Asia » Hong Kong » Hong Kong Island

Hong Kong was amazing with great crew, great hotel, central location, amazing shops and sights!!!!! We arrived late evening so went for an explore to a night market passing streets full of palm readers, tarot tellers and kareoke tents just along the streets!!!!!!! The street market was great, very like most Asian stalls ive seen so was quite controlled when it came to spending my allowance!!!!!!! The next day we got up early to go to Hong Kong Island. A short ferry ride away and open top bus ride to the Tram stop, we got pulled to the top of Victoria Peak where the view was amazing. It was very hazzy but still great. In the complex at the peak there was a Madame Tussauds but all asian Famous People so didnt bother paying to go ... read more

Hi Guys!!!! I'm in my top bid for flights this month so got 3 out of 4 that I asked for- Venice, Hong Kong and days off to add to the holidays I have booked!!! I also got a load of turnarounds (there and back flights) which I have heard you get stuck with on top bid!!!! So here is my tripp to Venice!!! I wasnt in the mood for some reason when I got on the flight- think it was from lack of sleep!!! The flight was EASY- nice passengers. Sometimes this is worse when its quiet as the time drags but cant complain!!!! We went straight out when we arrived and there were 9 of us!!! Think this is the most ive have had come out exploring in total so was really nice! It ... read more

Amazing China! x

Published: February 20th 2008Asia » China » Beijing » Great Wall of China

I was sooooo excited to go to Beijing, China! Mostly because I heard the fake bags are so cheap and so good! I didn’t even think about the Great Wall of China, I didn’t know it was close so just didn’t think it was an option! But when I heard that could be on the cards I was praying for a good crew wanting to do stuff……………………… and that I got!!!! The flight its self is quite long (7hrs there) , especially coming back (9hrs back) but the passengers were no bother! On arriving went straight to the Silk Market to shop! I imagined it to be outside, but since it was -3 ish degrees then I’m glad it wasn’t like that! It was huge and the stall holders really abuse you to buy and at ... read more

My second flight this month was to Moscow, Russia!!!!! I couldn’t wait! Infact I’ve got two this month! My suitcase was the heaviest its been as heard it can drop to -30 degrees in Moscow!!!!!! The flight was unbelievably busy with non stop requests for WODKA!!!! Infact we ended up using the return flights bars and using all the stock out of that too!!! I can’t believe how much they drink……. And straight too! They don’t speak very much English most of the Russians so I ended up bringing them water most of the time instead of wodka!!!!!! A lot of the crew wanted to venture out, which I was pleased about! The crew was great! We wanted to go to the famous Red Square but had to get the metro first and I’m not sure ... read more
